Accounting Manager - General Contractor

As our Accounting Manager , you'll oversee construction-focused functions such as job costing, WIP reporting and billing, AP/AR, and financial reporting—an ideal role for someone with strong construction accounting experience who is ready to make a meaningful impact. Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, and general ledger Maintain accurate job costing and project financial reporting Prepare monthly financial statements and WIP schedules Process AIA billings, progress draws, retainage, and change orders Monitor project budgets and profitability Support project managers with cost tracking and reporting Ensure subcontractor compliance documentation is current Coordinate year-end audits and tax preparation Improve accounting systems and internal processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience Construction or general contractor accounting experience required Strong knowledge of: Job costing WIP schedules AIA billing Retainage Construction contracts Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Procore, or NetSuite Strong Excel and organizational skills Preferred QuickBooks experience CMA certification (not required) Experience with commercial or residential new construction Supervisory experience Schedule Full-time Monday to Friday Work Location In person

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
