Duties Operate the cash register using POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently. Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform basic math calculations with precision. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Conduct product demos when needed to showcase new or featured items to customers. Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented. Perform inventory checks, stock replenishment, and assist with stockroom organization during overnight hours. Uphold store safety protocols by monitoring CCTV surveillance, conducting security checks, and managing phone etiquette when communicating with team members or emergency responders. Support upselling efforts by suggesting additional products or promotions to maximize sales opportunities. Assist with merchandising initiatives and ensure the store remains clean, organized, and inviting for early morning shoppers. Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and retail math to handle transactions accurately. Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team tasks or training new staff. Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers and team members. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales transactions. Experience in merchandising, stocking, product demos, and upselling techniques enhances your fit for this role.
