Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in need during nighttime hours. This vital role ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents or clients through attentive monitoring, assistance with daily activities, and compassionate companionship. Duties Monitor residents' health and safety throughout the night, observing for any changes or emergencies. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support. Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations. Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Requirements Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient care techniques including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice support. Ability to work overnight shifts consistently with flexibility for occasional additional hours if needed. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of distress or emergencies. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and assist with resident transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and document care accurately in compliance with privacy standards.
