Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Overnight Personal Care Assistant (PCA), where your compassionate support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring around-the-clock care. In this vital role, you will provide essential assistance during nighttime hours, ensuring residents' safety, comfort, and well-being. This position offers an opportunity to work in a nurturing environment focused on enhancing quality of life through personalized care. Whether supporting seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those with memory care needs, your dedication will help create a safe and supportive home-like atmosphere. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Administer medications and follow care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare standards Support residents with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and wheelchairs safely to promote independence and prevent injury Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and infection control practices Respond promptly to emergencies or resident calls, providing first aid or CPR as needed while following established protocols Skills Proven experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, and working with individuals with disabilities Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts effectively Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Prior experience with care plans, social work principles, and working within long-term or hospice care settings is highly valued This role is paid and offers a rewarding opportunity to provide compassionate overnight support that truly impacts lives.
