Overnight Yard Jockey

This role is responsible for moving, spotting and parking transportation fleet yard equipment in a safe and timely manner. What will I do? Live our values, always help others and ensure Wegmans remains a great place to work for all Move, spot, stage and park transportation yard equipment including trailers, sea containers and generators Perform trip equipment inspections per Department of Transportation (DOT) and Wegmans compliance standards; monitor and complete temperature spot checks on refrigerated trailers Inform operations management of quality issues; maintain communication between departments, vendors, and distribution centers Utilize yard management system to maintain accurate information of inbound and outbound trailers Maintain a clean and safe work environment; ensure all sanitation and food safety guidelines are followed; assist in snow removal, cleaning, and sweeping of trailers per sanitation schedule; perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Experience at the Customer Service level Valid State driver's license and clean driving record Able to manage time effectively and work independently; detail oriented; problem solving skills; able to prioritize and organize workload Computer skills and systems aptitude Preferred Qualifications CDL License Experience operating commercial tractor trailer equipment At Wegmans, we've always believed we can achieve our goals only if we first fulfill the needs of our people.
