JOB DESCRIPTION
Join White Deer Run as an Intake Specialist! Be One of the First Steps in a Person's Recovery Journey As an Intake Specialist, you will play a vital role in welcoming individuals seeking treatment and helping them begin their recovery journey. You will serve as a key point of contact throughout the admission process, ensuring clients feel supported, informed, and comfortable from the moment they arrive. In this role, you will coordinate with admissions and clinical teams, assist with client intake and documentation, help facilitate assessments, orient clients to the facility, and provide exceptional customer service to clients and their families. Schedule Options This position includes a rotating weekend requirement.
Available shift options include:
Option 1: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Option 2: Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Option 3: Monday through Friday, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Liaise with client/family of potential admissions to address any questions, concerns, etc.
  • Coordinate facility tours with clients and families who are potential admissions.
  • Interface with remote admissions team and on-site clinical team for necessary approvals, plan for client arrival, including travel arrangements as applicable.
  • Establishes professional rapport with client to ensure that they feel welcomed upon arrival.
  • Supports arrival process including coordinating assessment/bed placement process, searches of client belongings/person for prohibited items.
  • Orients client to the facility/milieu.
  • Liaises with direct care/nursing/clinical team to ensure client is set-up with a treatment plan/schedule as needed.
  • Ensures intake paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and documentation is maintained as required.
  • May discuss client's financial responsibility and take payment as applicable.
  • Provides exceptional customer service in line with Acadia Healthcare standards.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively to person(s) receiving services and their family members, guests and other members of the health care team.

  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • High-school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Preferred 1 - 2 years of experience in a patient care environment in a substance use/behavioral health setting.
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, and an ability to use required computer programs.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS
