Packager $17 an hour 2nd shift: 3pm-11:30pm Bettendorf, Iowa Job Summary We are seeking a dependable Packager to support shipping and receiving operations within a busy sheet metal manufacturing environment. In this role, you will prepare products for shipment by packaging, labeling, and organizing materials to ensure accurate, safe, and timely delivery to customers. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who take pride in organization, attention to detail, and working in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities Package products for shipment by boxing or palletizing materials and securing them with banding Label and mark packages clearly with part numbers and job names for accurate identification Move materials and completed orders to shipping or designated areas using pallet jacks or other equipment Sort and store materials on racks, shelves, or bins based on size, type, or product code Assemble and stage customer orders for shipment or internal transfer Assist with shipping and receiving , including unloading trucks and verifying incoming materials Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment Monitor and restock shipping supplies such as boxes, tape, banding, and labels Support overall warehouse operations and complete additional tasks as needed Required Qualifications Experience in general labor or production (warehouse or manufacturing preferred) Ability to safely operate a pallet jack Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly Capability to stand and remain active throughout the shift Strong attention to detail for labeling, sorting, and organizing materials Basic ability to read packing lists, labels, and written instructions Commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in packaging, shipping, or warehouse operations Experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal environment Familiarity with organizing materials by product code, size, or type Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Flexibility to assist across multiple warehouse functions Work Environment Well-lit sheet metal manufacturing facility with approximately 200 employees Noise levels can be moderate to loud due to production activities Physically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and material handling Use of pallet jacks and handling of sheet metal materials daily Required PPE includes steel-toe boots and appropriate work attire (no sweatpants or athletic "swishy" pants) Supports both 1st and 2nd shift operations Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
