Job Summary:
The POC Packager will work with computers, barcode scanners, and industrial printers to accurately package multiple product types. The role involves scanning serial numbers, applying carton and over-pack labels, interpreting work orders to set up packaging lines, completing required paperwork, and following detailed procedures and drawings to ensure quality and accuracy. The Packager will also collaborate with team members and management to support and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities :
The ability to read, follow, and explain the procedures/drawings being used. The ability to quickly verify serial numbers and apply labeling. A good understanding of quality control and the ability to recognize defects. The ability to communicate effectively with supervision and engineering. Able to understand and complete paperwork correctly. Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Experience Requirements:
General mechanical aptitude. The ability to stand or sit while working for extended periods. Must be capable of lifting 20 lbs without issue. Must be capable of reading small text/numbers quickly The ability to read and speak English High School diploma or equivalent. More than 1 year of relevant manufacturing or production experience.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must be able to use basic office equipment: computer, printer, copier, telephone, etc. Must be capable of listening to and communicating effectively with customers.
