Job Description

Hourly Wage:
$17.75 DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY To prepare and package finished goods for accurate and timely shipping
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Follow proper procedures for packaging mobility scooters and power lift recliners, wrapping and/or boxing loose components, and selecting appropriate boxes, trays, and suspension for each product and securing them with plastic banding straps, micro-foam bags, and foam inserts Ensure all instructions and loose components are secured to the product Scan Matrix ID with barcode scanner to ensure all units are processed accurately in Oracle Print and apply packaging label to mobility scooters and power lift recliners Use powered hoist to place mobility scooters into boxes Promptly communicate barcode, packaging and banding machine issues to management Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS
Must be a friendly team player, detail-oriented, and honest Must have the ability to: Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment Read and comprehend work instructions Be cross trained for multiple jobs within assigned work areas Operate touch-screen computer monitors and learn the Matrix/ProductionWare system and any other production software as required Work under general supervision and direction from a Team Leader, Supervisor, and/or Manager Rely on experience and judgment to accomplish daily goals Operate a powered hoist Lift/Push/Pull 40 lbs.
Stand/bend/kneel Must have:
Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods Good verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS
Basic working knowledge of Oracle and Matrix/ProductionWare systems preferred Basic computer skills preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
No experience required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment preferred At least 1 year of packaging experience preferred At least 1 year of experience using an RF Scanner, barcode scanner, lift assist and pneumatic stapler preferred Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
PREFERRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma or
