Packaging Cheese Opener

Join our Packaging Team as a Packaging Opener/Dumper! Days Only and No Weekends - Starting Rate $20.25/hour As a cheese opener/dumper , you will review the packaging schedule, order cheese from the Dock, carry, and open cheese for the cutter position to supply the packaging line. You will be responsible for receiving cheese and ensuring the correct cheese flavor is provided. You will lift and carry blocks of cheese weighing 15-42 lbs. Team members work Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and Fridays per year depending on business need (typically every other Friday from 6:00am - 4:30pm) Starting pay rate for the Cheese Opener/Dumper on 1st shift is $20.25/hour and you're eligible for a $.50/hour increase after 90 days New hires are also eligible for a $500 bonus after (3) months of employment and a second $500 bonus after (6) months of employment! We have openings for employees to learn skills and work in premium positions. If you are bi-lingual in Spanish and English, we pay a premium rate when you assist as an interpreter! This position requires a minimum of six (6) months of related work experience. Basic math and English skills are required as well as the ability to work as part of a team. All employees are required to learn and comply with all Gilman Cheese policies including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety requirements.

Physical Requirements :

This position involves: continuous standing and lifting of 10lbs, occasional lifting of 25lbs, carrying of objects up to 50lbs., continuous standing for long periods and duration of the shift, and occasional walking.
