Packaging Engineer

Design and support cost-effective packaging solutions, build prints, BOMs, and manufacturing processes that meet customer requirements and production needs. Job Responsibilities Develop and implement packaging solutions that meet customer requirements Design packaging systems for manufacturing and assembly operations Create and maintain bills of material for packaging items Create and maintain build prints for repeatable and longer lead-time items Evaluate manufacturing processes related to packaging design and assembly Provide engineering support for assembly builds Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives through packaging redesign Identify and execute quality improvement initiatives through process optimization Work with sales and customer service teams to define product and packaging requirements Conduct site visits to collect packaging design information Identify, source, and recommend specialized procurement items Ensure packaging designs comply with company standards, industry regulations, and safety guidelines Participate in cross-functional packaging and operational improvement projects Job Requirements Packaging engineering experience Experience designing packaging solutions for manufacturing or assembly operations Experience creating and maintaining bills of material Experience creating build prints or packaging documentation Experience evaluating manufacturing processes Experience supporting assembly builds Knowledge of company standards, industry regulations, and safety guidelines related to packaging Ability to collect product requirements and translate them into packaging designs Preferred Skills Cost reduction project experience Quality improvement project experience Process optimization experience Specialized procurement item sourcing experience Site visit or customer requirement gathering experience Cross-functional packaging project experience Manufacturing engineering support experience

Pay:
