Painter

Volt is immediately hiring for Painter in Chatsworth, CA. As a Painter, you will: Prepare and clean surfaces by sanding and wiping them with solvent Mask different surfaces as needed Load and off-load parts on/from paint racks Mix and prepare primer and paint per manufactures' instruction Check appropriate surface treatment and preparation prior to painting Spray primer and paint on a wide variety of parts with different sizes, shapes, and contours Operate curing oven and monitor temperature and curing cycle time Perform visual inspection on painted parts to ensure final quality Clean and maintain all paint booth apparatus such as paint guns, filters, etc. Makes an effort for continuous improvement to work processes for production and/or quality control Responsible for following rules & regulations stated in the company handbook, notices & postings. Responsible for following the written and verbal directions of leads, supervisor and management Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment as well as follow the Code of Safe Work Practices. Wiliness & ability to understand and adhere the company quality system in work processes This is a full time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

3-5 years of experience working in paint shop environment preferably aerospace or automotive industry Be detail-oriented and meticulous Be able to mix and prepare wide variety of paint and primer product (gloss, semi-gloss, flat) with different formulations Basic understanding of blueprint and engineering drawing Experience working with work order (job order) document Be able to pass respiratory fit test and pulmonary test if required Lift up to 40 lbs.

Shift:

7:00am to 3:30pm (Monday - Friday)

Pay Rate:
