In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance their aesthetic appeal, and ensure durability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, creativity, and a strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope and specific requirements for each job. Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and drywall restoration. Execute commercial and industrial painting projects with attention to safety standards and quality control. Use construction estimating skills to assess project needs and materials required for each job. Install fixtures, moldings, trim carpentry elements, and perform renovation or remodeling tasks as needed. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and ensuring tools are well-maintained. Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving welding, concrete finishing, framing carpentry, or schematics interpretation. Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency on site. Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating materials. Familiarity with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, power tools including airless sprayers and welding equipment. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Experience with surface preparation techniques including plastering, stucco application, masonry work, drywall repair, and restoration projects. Strong understanding of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects. Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Additional skills in carpentry (trim carpentry & frame carpentry), fixture installation, concrete finishing or masonry are highly desirable.
