WHAT YOU LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Palletizer will be responsible for placing finished bags, cartons/trays on pallets, observing all safety regulations. The candidate will ensure all GMP (good manufacturing practices) and quality standards are met and maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process. Rotate through line stations every two hours or as directed. Ensure that the proper packaging supplies (bag rolls/cartons/trays) are positioned to the assigned workstation. Built carton/tray IFCO by hand by folding flaps down and push tabs into locked position. Apply sticker with code date, product code, and slide box down chute or stack as required. Seal carton manually manipulates full carton/tray/IFCO on packing conveyer, fold flaps on top down and tuck them into place. Stack/palletize- manually place carton/bag/ tray/IFCO on the correct pallet according to proper stack pattern. Remove defective bags from pack line and place them into rework totes. Notify supervisor of any out of place objects or items. Assemble IFCO trays, build totes and line them with plastic as required. Sweep and shovel carrots; keep the area clear, clean, and place trash/non- conforming product in proper receptacles. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Three to six months experience in a production facility Bilingual (English/Spanish)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Environmental exposure -cold/wet conditions (40 ° or below) Material exposure-moving mechanical parts Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as fumes, airborne particles and vibrations Ability to ascend and descend ramps, steps, ladders, stairs using three-point contact Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time during the work period Fast paced environment (repetitive motion)

HOURS & WORKDAYS

1st Shift - 6:15AM to 5:00PM Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
