Job Description

Paralegal Job Requirements Education & Certification Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field. Paralegal certification from an accredited program (preferred but not always required). Experience Prior experience in a law firm or legal department (1-3 years for entry-level; 3-5+ years for senior/paralegal specialist roles). Familiarity with specific practice areas (e.g., family law, probate, litigation, real estate, corporate law). Skills Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and filing requirements. Proficient in legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skilled in drafting and proofreading legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence. Strong organizational and time-management abilities; able to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Proficient with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Other Requirements Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with attorneys and support staff. Professional demeanor with excellent client service skills.
