Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in a student's life as a dedicated paraprofessional for the upcoming school year. This fulfilling full-time contract role offers the unique opportunity to support a 4th grade student at a welcoming elementary school, working closely with an experienced educator. Your specialized guidance will provide crucial support to a child experiencing complex social and emotional challenges, so empathy, patience, and a keen understanding of behavior management are essential. What you'll bring: Current GaPSC Paraprofessional Certification (or pending with the ability to complete before starting) Prior experience as a paraprofessional or as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred Compassionate approach with a strong sense of responsibility Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs is a plus Your role will include: Providing one-on-one support to a 4th grade student who requires ongoing supervision and encouragement Supporting the student's social, emotional, and behavioral growth throughout the school day Escorting and monitoring the student to and from the restroom and ensuring his comfort and safety Partnering with classroom teachers and related service providers to create a consistent, nurturing environment Maintaining clear documentation of student progress and daily observations Fostering an inclusive and safe classroom experience This school values dedicated staff who are committed to students' well-being and success.
