Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the classroom by supporting students and educators as a dedicated Paraprofessional. This contract role offers the opportunity to work alongside passionate professionals, help students reach their full potential, and gain valuable experience in a rewarding educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Experience working in a school setting or with children preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to assist with classroom management and instructional support Patient, flexible, and eager to learn new approaches High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff Willingness to participate in training and ongoing professional development
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to students in the classroom, small groups, and one-on-one Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and daily routines Aid students in understanding assignments, staying on task, and participating actively Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment Supervise students during transitions, mealtimes, and outdoor activities Maintain accurate records of student progress and report observations to teaching staff
