Life Skills Support Paraprofessional SUMMARY:

Hourly Paraprofessional pay rates: $18 per hour for Paraprofessional assigned to specialized classroom: Autistic, Emotional, Life Skills Support (effective 10/13/25) $16 per hour for Paraprofessional assigned to Learning Support, 1:1, Intervention The Paraprofessional position will work on all student days during the school calendar year, 6.5 paid hours per day on full school days (scheduled 7 hours/day with a 1/2 hr unpaid lunch break). Paraprofessionals will support students in one of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills Support.

PTO:

Employees assigned to work 30 hours or more hours per day for a full 5-day work week are eligible for 8 PTO days (prorated based on hire date).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide assistance to students with special needs who have IEPs or 504 plans. Reinforcing learning concepts and skills. Working with students individually or in small groups. Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, monitor student progress. Managing students behavior and ensuring a safe learning environment. Supervising students during lunch, arrivals/dismissals, and other non-instructional areas. Directly support students at the direction of classroom teacher and building Principal. Requirements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High school diploma and completion of Paraprofessional competency training OR Two-years of post secondary education (48 college credits), Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting
