PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF POSITION

Perform service in both routine and emergency medical situations involving students and employees as instructed via training by the school nurse. This will include contacting parents in the event the student is to be taken home or for treatment. In emergency situations to arrange for or transport the patient for medical treatment. To perform clerical duties assigned by the school nurse. To administer medication to students following school district procedures. To assist during the administration of annual physical/dental examinations. To administer routine auditory and visual examinations, weighing and measuring students, and similar duties as requested by the nurse. To perform clerical and other duties unrelated to the health room as assigned by the building principal.
