We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Aide to support classroom teachers in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, including those with special needs or disabilities, and possess strong communication and classroom management skills. This role involves assisting with lesson implementation, behavior management, and supporting students' academic and social development across early childhood education settings, including preschool, daycare, private schools, or Montessori programs. Duties Assist teachers in developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, and other core subjects. Support students with diverse learning needs, including children with autism or disabilities, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment. Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce learning objectives in literacy education, math, and other subjects. Help manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques and classroom routines. Support early childhood development activities that promote social-emotional growth and independence. Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials and setting up learning stations. Supervise children during activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement. Collaborate with teachers on curriculum development and adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs. Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress and well-being. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, private school, or Montessori programs. Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience supporting students with special needs or disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with lesson planning, curriculum development, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students. Experience working with children who have autism or other developmental challenges is a plus. Ability to work well with diverse populations of children including toddlers and preschoolers. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or special education is advantageous but not mandatory. Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting children's educational growth.
