Paraprofessional: English Language Learners (ELL)

The ELL paraprofessional works with the classroom teacher and administration to support students in meeting their academic and behavioral goals. Associate's degree or minimum two year post secondary preferred, or additional training may be required upon hire; strong human relations skills; strong communication skills and ability to work with students to assist them with individual and small group instruction; must be comfortable with technology and be able to learn translation tools that will allow you to work with students that are not proficient in English. Experience in and a strong working knowledge of other languages and cultures is recommended. Position is 7.5 hours/day, Monday-Friday, during the school year. Multilingual preferred, but not required. Required application materials include a WECAN standard application and question set.
