Come join our team to rebuild Paradise! Unique opportunity in an innovative recreation and park district. Park Assistant III Position (1.0 FTE)

Salary:

$19.77 per hour All positions start at Step 1 in the Salary Range We are seeking 2qualified candidates. Position 1 will be assigned as a carpenter's assistant, and position 2 is for evening and weekendevents staffing (basic janitorial duties).

Duties may include:

• Dig trails, ditches, plant trees and shrubbery, build rock retaining walls, and other duties related to keeping the landscape in good condition
• Operate light-duty vehicles, power mowers, small power tools, and other equipment related to maintenance duties
• Perform construction tasks as required for District repairs and projects.
• This position will work a varied schedule as assigned
• Does related work as assigned or required

Requirements and Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have appropriate education and experience. A combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience in general maintenance or related work
• Experience in one or more of the construction trades
