Department Culture Rec & Tourism-State Parks Opening Date 04/17/2026 Closing Date 4/27/2026 11:59 PM Central About this Job The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails. The purpose of this position is to complete various physical, custodial, and/or maintenance tasks to include cleaning, removing litter and trash, cleaning various facilities, operating equipment, and assisting with the public. This posting will be used to fill 2 vacant positions. Minimum QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Performs custodial duties necessary to maintain clean and sanitary conditions of facilities. Provides training to volunteers and new employees. Assist in upkeep of site grounds and facilities. Assists the administrative staff with visitors. Provides a high level of customer service and assists customers with inquiries. Assists with maintaining grounds such as mowing grass, collecting litter, general maintenance, and emptying trash receptacles.Position-Specific Details:

These positions will be filled as part-time Classified WAE's, limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12 month period. •Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.•Work Schedule:
