Parks Maintenance Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTIONSupervises and performs all maintenance activities for Tuscarora Township properties, including parks, recreation facilities, and the Township Office building and grounds. Plans, organizes, and oversees the upkeep and improvement of Township properties. Responsibilities include snow removal, lawn care, landscaping, and general facility maintenance, as well as ensuring all parks and recreational areas are properly maintained and safe for public use.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Reasonable knowledge of the economic and social structure of Tuscarora Township
• Ability to analyze the community's needs and to develop and implement plans to satisfy those needs
• Ability to plan, coordinate, assign and supervise the work of a group of Parks Maintenance employees
• Ability to prepare and effectively present information relating to activities of the Parks Department
• Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors/contractors
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative work relationship with other Township officials, other governmental officials and with the general public
• Considerable experience in municipal work, including experience in a supervisory capacity
