Job Description

Part-Time Accountant 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 1905 N Center Point Road, Hiawatha, IA 52233 Part-time CCB Packaging Inc 51 reviews Part-time This is a part-time position working approximately 20-24 hrs/week. The position is responsible for assisting with a variety of essential accounting functions for multiple onsite growing companies. The set working hours can be flexible.
Responsibilities include:
Reconcile monthly bank statements and transactions. Reconcile and post credit card transactions. Allocate expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures. Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices. Sales and use tax reporting and compliance. Assist with processing and reporting weekly payroll for employees. Distribute weekly invoices to customers. Accounts Payable duties including compiling, sorting, and entering invoices into the accounting system. Assist investigating and reconciling any A/P discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receipts. Prepare financial reports and various accounting statements. Post journal entries to general ledger. Prepare additional accounting transactions and reconciliations as assigned. Support other accounting functions such as A/R, A/P, and payroll.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BA) in Accounting or related field; or Associate's degree (AA) in Accounting or related field with two years of related experience and/or training preferred 2-4 years of Accounting experience required Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn our accounting software system Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
