Job Description

Part-Time Administrative Assistant - Speech-Language Pathology Clinic We are seeking a highly organized and personable Administrative Assistant to support daily operations in a busy speech-language pathology clinic. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth experience for clients, families, and clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage scheduling for evaluations and ongoing therapy sessions, including cancellations and waitlists Serve as the first point of contact for clients—answer phones, respond to inquiries, and greet families Coordinate patient intake, collect and process required documentation, and maintain accurate records Verify insurance benefits, assist with authorizations, and support billing and payment collection Maintain organized electronic records and ensure compliance with privacy standards such as HIPAA Communicate effectively with clinicians, families, and external partners to support care coordination Track attendance, follow up on missed appointments, and enforce clinic policies Support general office operations, including supply management and administrative tasks Coordinate light marketing and outreach efforts, including managing social media posts, confirming participation in community events, and supporting referral relationships with other local clinics
Qualifications:
Previous administrative or front desk experience (healthcare setting preferred) Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Familiarity with scheduling systems or electronic medical records is a plus Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
Hours:
Approximately 20 hours per week M-F 1-5pm,
Hours May Vary Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
