Clark College is currently seeking to fill a part-time Advanced Manufacturing Professor. This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Applicants must be available to teach in the daytime, evening or weekend hours. Positions will be filled as program needs arise. This job position is at Clark College's Boschma Farms (Ridgefield) Center. The Advanced Manufacturing Department offers an Associate of Applied Technology, a Certificate of Proficiency (Manufacturing Operator), and a Certificate of Achievement (Intro to Manufacturing). Primary teaching duties include Manual, Additive, and Subtractive Manufacturing, Welding, Robotics, Applied Metrology, Computer Aided Machining, Systems Integration, and Blueprint and Schematics Reading. The successful candidate will play an integral role in leading the department and in ensuring the relevancy and alignment of the Advanced Manufacturing Program with current industry standards, along with the development and implementation of the vision of the manufacturing-related programs at Clark College. Instruct all classes as an expert in the discipline using active learning approaches that both engage and facilitate student learning. Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques. Participate in decision-making processes by taking part in department and college committees. Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College. Work cooperatively in a variety of department-level activities and college or company-wide projects. Pursue professional development to enhance teaching and learning in the department and College.POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide lab coordination including instructional equipment support, equipment purchasing, and storage functions. Establish safety procedures for proper handling, storage, and disposal of equipment, tools and hazardous materials and responsibility for training, safely maintaining and disposing of waste. Advise and assist students in their educational and career development. Obtain and maintain Professional-Technical Certification requirements. Participate in program, curriculum development and assessment activities. Work collaboratively with colleagues, businesses, advisory committees, and other educational partners to create unique learning opportunities at Clark College.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Associate degree in an Advanced Manufacturing discipline or closely related field AND four (4) years of industry related experience OR Bachelor's degree in an Advanced Manufacturing discipline or closely related field AND two (2) years of industry related experience OR eight (8) years of industry related experience. Familiarity with current industry practices in advanced manufacturing environments. Ability to teach the Advanced manufacturing curriculum. Demonstrated work experience in at least one of the three key areas listed below: Industrial Three-Phase Electric Motor Control Systems Installation, Troubleshooting and Repair. Mechanical Power Transmission Systems Installation, Troubleshooting and Repair. Robotics Control Systems Interfacing, Installation, Troubleshooting and Repair.Supplemental Information:
SALARY STATEMENT
Lecture hourly rate is $93.18, and lab hourly rate is $79.59.APPLICATION PROCESS
