Description Maintain accurate records for the District Clerk's Office and the district courts. Example of Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. This is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed and employees may be assigned duties which are not listed below. Employees are required to be in attendance and prepared to begin work at their assigned work location on the specified days and hours. The job description does not constitute an employment agreement and is subject to change at any time by the employer. Regular attendance of not more than 30 hours per week is required Maintain accurate records of all documents and files Assist attorneys, court staff, and/or the public in accessing case records Answer phones and direct calls to proper departments Open, file stamp, and sort incoming mail Receipt and maintain payment records Process court pleadings, orders, bench warrants, capias, subpoenas, summons, issue civil/family service and other various correspondence Open, close, and audit a till Maintain confidentiality of records as required by law File and process paperwork filed over the counter, through the mail (USPS), and/or through the electronic service providers Assist the public with the public computers Any other duties assigned by the District Clerk or designee Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES
High school diploma or equivalent or at the discretion of the District Clerk or designee.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
The ability to read and comprehend Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with judges, managers, supervisors, employees, external public agencies and organizations, attorneys' law firms, bail bond companies, process servers and the general public Using initiative, discretion and decision making within established procedures, guidelines and rules Performing various mathematical calculations Performing effectively under stressful working conditions Providing effective customer service Multi-tasking Operating a personal computer and various software applications
LICENSE & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an office work environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Supplemental Information
