Location:

Waite Park, MN WACOSA is currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Part-Time Driver to transport clients to and from our facilities and their residence. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others and values safety, patience, and professionalism. Drivers play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, fulfilling, and independent lives.

Pay:

$17.05 - $18.86 per hour

Part-Time Driver:

Provide daily transportation for WACOSA clients as assigned by supervisor while adhering to transportation policies and procedures. Support clients' behavior needs by assisting in development and follow through of positive behavior programs, protocols, and de-escalation procedures. Safely operate company-owned vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, including use of wheelchair lifts and securement systems as needed Ensure proper securement of wheelchairs and mobility devices Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly Follow all safety protocols, emergency procedures, and confidentiality guidelines Qualifications and Skills for a

Driver:

Must have HS diploma or equivalent. People skills, patience, organized, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to obtain and maintain valid CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications. Must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid MN Drivers License and insurable driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with adult lifts and transfers.
