This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a variety of household and estate-related responsibilities, ensuring a seamless and We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and trustworthy Part-Time Estate Manager to oversee the maintenance, operations, and ongoing projects for a private residence and surrounding property. This is a hands-on role that blends property maintenance with estate operations, including coordinating trusted vendors, performing regular inspections, planning seasonal projects, maintaining service schedules, and ensuring the home and grounds are consistently safe and clean. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, handy, works independently, exercises sound judgment and discretion, and communicates proactively to prevent issues before they arise. Responsibilities Complete routine property upkeep and preventative maintenance to keep the home, grounds, and outdoor living areas well maintained Oversee landscaping and grounds care, including trimming, weeding, seasonal cleanup, and coordination of larger landscaping projects with vendors Manage residential projects, including: Pool renovation and outdoor living enhancements Sprinkler expansion and landscaping enhancements Home improvement and property enhancement projects Smaller repair and maintenance initiatives Perform minor home repairs and general handyman tasks, including replacing fixtures, tightening hardware, patching small holes, changing filters, batteries, and lightbulbs Monitor and maintain home systems and equipment, including HVAC, irrigation, lighting, plumbing, well, septic, water filtration, and other residential systems to ensure proper operation and preventative maintenance. Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify issues early and coordinate timely resolution Schedule and oversee vendors and contractors, including landscaping, gardening, pool services, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, snow removal, and related service providers Maintain a preventative maintenance calendar and ensure services are completed on schedule Track property-related records, including vendor contacts, service history, warranties, invoices, and receipts Oversee fleet management, including vehicle maintenance, registration, detailing, and service scheduling Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies while ensuring property items remain organized and stocked Support seasonal readiness, including winterization, storm preparation, and coordination of snow and ice management Move and retrieve seasonal items from the offsite storage location Coordinate closely with the homeowners' representative regarding priorities, upcoming projects, recommendations, and special requests Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion while working in and around a private residence Required Skills & Qualifications Demonstrated experience in residential property maintenance, estate management, handyman services, facilities, landscaping, or related work Strong mechanical understanding and ability to troubleshoot home systems and equipment Handy and capable of independently handling small repairs and maintenance tasks Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities Experience coordinating vendors and contractors, including scheduling, oversight, and quality control Ability to maintain service schedules, records, and preventative maintenance plans Professional communication skills with homeowners, vendors, and service providers High level of integrity, discretion, reliability, and respect for privacy Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Trade school, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred 3+ years of experience in residential property maintenance, facilities management, groundskeeping, estate support, handyman work, or similar roles preferred Physical Requirements Regularly performs physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and safely use hand and power tools Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Position Details Part-time contractor position Flexible schedule based on property and project needs Competitive compensation based on experience To apply, please submit your resume and relevant experience.
