Part-time Facility Maintenance - Self Storage (Flexible Hours)

We're looking for a dependable and self-motivated individual to serve as a Part-Time Facility Assistant at our self storage facility in Hampton, VA . This is a flexible position ideal for someone seeking supplemental income or a side job with very low stress and work hours that fit around your schedule . Perfect for retirees, students, or anyone looking for extra income with a highly independent role.

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure the facility is clean, secure, and presentable Perform maintenance tasks (e.g., sweeping units, removing trash, replacing light bulbs, replacing door latches, cutting off locks etc.) Place or remove locks on units as needed Occasionally meet tenants on-site for unit access or questions Report any issues or maintenance needs to management using a smartphone or tablet Ability to complete basic handyman tasks and repairs preferred, but not required.

Schedule:

5-10 hours per week to start, with potential for more Set your own schedule - visits can be done at your convenience during business hours Occasional short-notice tasks may be requested but are not frequent

Qualifications:

Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Must have a smartphone for communication and task updates Must have reliable transportation and live locally Prior experience in property management, customer service, maintenance is helpful but not required
