The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for enhancing the appearance and hygiene of pets while ensuring their comfort and safety during the grooming process. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with animals of all sizes. We service high-end customers who give great tips. We are looking for a part time groomer, who will start during the week but then shift to some week day and some weekend shifts once comfortable. If you are a groomer with a current book of business we will be able to schedule your existing clients to reduce initial gaps in bookings while Paw Splash provides advertising support to help grow your book of business at the salon. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats (not necessary, but a plus). Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming options and pet care advice. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use. Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both pets and their owners.

Daily Workload:

Groom 8-10 dogs per day for high-end customers, great tips, and a full schedule Full-time receptionist (no phones or scheduling!) and bather to prep your dogs. Occasionally, you may assist with bathing depending on scheduling.

Skills Experience Required:

Minimum 3 years grooming experience. High-quality grooming skill and excellent attention to detail Strong customer service skills to build rapport with clients and address their needs effectively. This helps to grow your book of business quickly with having returning customers. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment. Knowledge of animal behavior to ensure safe handling of pets during grooming sessions. Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete grooming tasks within scheduled appointments.
