Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Take on a meaningful opportunity supporting students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in a full-time, contract role. Key Qualifications:
Active Texas teaching license for the visually impaired is required Experience supporting students with visual impairments in an educational environment preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and educational teams Commitment to creating accessible, engaging learning experiences tailored to individual student needs Ability to maintain organized records, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor student progressPrimary Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction, support, and resources for students with visual impairments according to their IEPs Adapt and develop curriculum materials and teaching strategies to make them accessible Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success and inclusion Assess student needs, progress, and provide appropriate recommendations or referrals Participate in meetings and professional development to stay current on best practices in visual impairment education Support students' social and emotional growth, fostering a positive, inclusive learning environmentWhat You'll Enjoy:
