The assignment is semester to semester basis. The School of Nursing at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley occasionally has the need to hire non-tenure track Part- Time Lecturer(s) to teach in its Bachelor's and/or Master's programs. Responsibilities include delivering quality instruction to students in the classroom, simulated laboratories, and clinical settingsAbout UTRGV:

For additional information, please visit UTRGV website. Department/College Background The School of Nursing offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Nursing. These degrees include a traditional BSN and 2nd degree BSN pre-licensure degree, an RN to BSN, along with graduate degrees in Family Nurse Practitioner, a Post-graduate certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health NP and our new Doctor in Nursing Practice (DNP) that started in Fall 2022. Our faculty teach on two campuses, in both Edinburg and in Brownsville. We have full simulation labs that offer state of the art educational opportunities for all our students. We collaborate with the other health science programs at UTRGV on interdisciplinary clinical experiences and work with hospitals throughout the entire Rio Grande Valley. UTRGV is committed to preparing its students to succeed, and seeks faculty who are prepared to help in this goal. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution and licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas prior to assuming the position. Unexpired Texas RN/APRN Licensure report from Texas Board of Nursing List of 3 References Letter of Interest Discipline Specific Required Qualifications NA Preferred Qualification Two (2) years teaching experience at the baccalaureate and/or graduate level, evidence of teaching effectiveness, educational leadership, and clinical scholarship is preferred. A doctorate is preferred for teaching in the graduate programs. Salary Part-time Lecturers are paid per course taught commensurate with experience and/or qualifications. The appointment is semester to semester basis and contingent upon the enrollment and scheduling needs of the School of Nursing. License or Certification Required?
