Part time Maintenance Worker

This is a part-time, temporary, nonexempt position which is a pay grade 2 on the salary schedule. The primary purpose of this position is to assist tradesmen and other facilities staff in all aspects of physical plant operations including facilities and grounds maintenance. Ability to read and follow instructions. Must be skilled with the use of common tools and equipment used in various trades associated with Physical Plant operations. Must be able to strip and wax floors and move furniture. Mowing and weed eating are some other duties that may be required. Basic math and computer skills are a must. Must have the initiative to work alone and proceed with assigned task. Scheduled shift may vary Reliable, dependable and must show up for work on time as scheduled. Position requires ability to lift objects 25-50 pounds and willingness to work in adverse conditions.
