Part-Time Occupational Therapist / Certified Hand Therapist (OT/CHT) Expected hours per week: 24Location:
Hand and Shoulder Center, 6001 Stonewood Dr, Wexford, PA 15090 We are seeking an experienced, part-time Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to join our team at the Hand and Shoulder Center. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with highly skilled physicians in a collaborative outpatient setting focused on upper extremity rehabilitation. Position Summary The Occupational Therapist/CHT provides comprehensive outpatient occupational therapy services for patients with upper extremity conditions ranging from the shoulder to the hand. Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning and implementation, reassessment, discharge planning, and timely documentation in accordance with physician referrals and established plans of care. This role includes postoperative, preventive, nonoperative, and conservative rehabilitation, with a strong emphasis on restoring function and improving patient outcomes. Therapists collaborate closely with physicians and patients to ensure continuity of care and successful participation in therapeutic activities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity orthopedic conditions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Fabricate custom orthotics and fit prefabricated orthoses Provide patient education and home exercise instruction Maintain accurate and timely documentation Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff regarding patient progress and care plans Assist patients in restoring function, mobility, and independence Qualifications Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy license NBCOT certification required Professional liability insurance required Outpatient orthopedic experience required Experience with orthotic fabrication required Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation preferredBenefits:
