Job Description
As an Ambassador at the Grand Ole Opry, you'll create exceptional experiences for our guests. Fromwelcoming groups on tour buses, to connecting with guests during intermission, you'll actively seekopportunities for memory-making moments. You will also conduct Opry House tours, fulfilling all functions of the tour guide position, often serving as a tour lead for the shift. As the ideal candidate you are outgoing, reliable, and passionate about our music legacy. Create engagement opportunities with Opry guests during arrival, seating, intermission, tours and departure phases of the visit.
Present high-energy, entertaining, scripted tour while escorting groups through the facility. Actively engage the guests throughout the tour while communicating approved information.
Respond to questions about the venue. Distribute brochures, coupons, and general information. Share your interest in upcoming events in our venues.
Promote Opry Entertainment products and direct guests in the best way to enjoy all offers. Assist guests seeking directions to other Nashville area attractions and points of interest.
Ensure that tour guests are presented with a photo opportunity.
Collect and scan tickets from individuals or groups. Provide confident and friendly directional guidance to guests.
Ensure that guests stay with the tour group. Present clear instructions, directions, and safety guidelines throughout. Support security in protecting assets and ensuring the safety of guests.
Manage and maintain tour equipment. Keep listening devices and radios charged and clean. Operate video equipment to accompany tour presentations. Report issues to management.
Model company service basics. Follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience 1+ years' customer service experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Effective interpersonal, verbal, and listening communication skills required
Excellent public speaking skill required
Ability to learn and retain tour information upon hire Physical Requirements
Speak and hear to communicate and use both near and far vision. Ability to speak loudly for extended lengths throughout the day. Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items. Walk up and down stairs while navigating the venue. Frequently lift/carry up to 25lbs. Continually use gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills. Working Conditions
Entertainment environments, indoors and outdoors, with large crowds. Occasionally with elevated noise levels.
