Part time OR Full Time Preschool Teacher Wanted $25/hr M-F

Job description Job Overview Hello future amazing preschool teacher! I am mother looking to run a preschool out of my basement for the next two-three years throughout the summer and through the school year. It is a great open space with a lot of light that is bright and happy, and will make for a fantastic preschool. I am seeking 1-2 enthusiastic dedicated preschool teachers to join me in creating a nurturing play led program for preschool aged students. I am looking for a loving, nurturing, skilled preschool teacher with multi disciplinary skills to teach, guide, and care for preschool aged children. I am structuring this preschool differently than a standard preschool so that it has hyper flexible scheduling for parents. It is also less focused on rigorous academic progress and more about learning through play. My goal is for the kids to be ecstatic about coming to preschool playtime and build their confidence and early learning ability. Preschool Playtime will run daily M-F, 9:00-12:00pm and 1:00

• 5:00pm. Parents will select what hours and days they want their child to attend. I intend to keep the teacher:child ratio lower than a standard preschool
• aiming for 8:1. I will either hire 1-2 full time teachers or multiple part time teachers depending on the selected candidates preferences. These are the following shifts available to choose from: Option 1: M-F, 9:00am-5:00pm (40hrs) Option 2: 9:00am-5:00pm on either M, W, F, or T, Th. Option 3: M-F, 9:00am-12:00pm + 5 paid prep hours a week (you choose when and where to prep) Option 4: M-F 1:00pm

• 25m, Cleanup 5:00 Pickup I am looking for someone who can bring a lot of ideas and creativity to the job.

You will be responsible for coming up with engaging play inspired activities, ordering materials, and managing the class. If I end up hiring two part time teachers, you will collaborate and share prep duties with them. I am a creative myself and will make a great collaborative partner. Duties Develop and implement preschool playtime activities for each of the playtime rotations. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social-emotional growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives. Incorporate Montessori methods and other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences when appropriate. Skills Multidisciplinary teaching ability for arts, music, imaginative, creative, and physical play. Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom experience with toddlers and early learners. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, and early intervention techniques. Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education activities suitable for young children. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to manage classroom dynamics efficiently while maintaining a nurturing environment that supports child welfare. Knowledge of Montessori methods, education strategies, and behavior management techniques. CPR Certified preferred and ability to handle crisis situations appropriately.
