Part Time School Custodian (Afternoon Shift)

Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a pristine appearance Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, window washing, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces Assist with minor maintenance tasks including light repairs, painting touch-ups, and facilities upkeep to support a safe learning environment Operate industrial cleaning tools and equipment safely and efficiently to uphold high standards of cleanliness Monitor supply levels and restock cleaning materials as needed to ensure continuous operations Respond promptly to custodial requests or emergency cleaning needs during the shift Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly desirable Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction Experience with industrial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners is preferred Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting is a plus Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks efficiently Join us in creating a clean, safe space that fosters learning and growth!
