Temporary, Part-time Part-Time Seasonal Warehouse Runner Position Summary:
The Warehouse Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse and installation activities by facilitating the movement of materials and products within the warehouse and to local job sites. This position involves picking, packing, and transporting items to various locations. Use of a CRM and communication with the Production Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Installers are vital to your success in this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Load and deliver roofing materials, tools, and supplies from the warehouse to job sites in a timely manner. Ensure materials are accurately packed and delivered according to project needs. Communicate with job site supervisors and warehouse staff to ensure materials are delivered as scheduled. Drive company vehicles responsibly and adhere to all traffic and safety regulations. Perform routine checks and maintenance on company vehicles (such as oil changes, tire pressure, and fluid levels) to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any vehicle repairs or maintenance needs to management promptly. Keep vehicles clean and organized, ensuring that they are stocked with necessary tools and supplies for daily tasks. Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse to ensure all materials and tools are stored in an orderly manner. Help receive shipments, unpack materials, and stock items in the correct locations. Regularly clean and organize the warehouse, ensuring that tools and equipment are easily accessible and labeled. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts by reporting discrepancies or low stock to the warehouse manager. Assist with cleanup duties at job sites as needed, ensuring that all materials are disposed of properly and the site is left clean and organized. Help transport tools and equipment between the warehouse and job sites during and after projects. Ensure that all unused materials are returned to the warehouse and properly restocked. Follow company processes and procedures. Other warehouse duties as required Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations and materials handling Knowledge of inventory management and control systems Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform heavy lifting The hours for this seasonal position will typically be 8:00AM-2:00PM Monday-Friday, with the possibility of reaching 40 hours per week during peak season.
