The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in food service management, and the ability to ensure smooth daily restaurant operations. This role involves managing staff, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants, including familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS, is highly desirable. The Shift Manager will play a key role in team management, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer experiences and maintain operational standards Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality in accordance with company recipes and standards Manage POS transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, including cash handling and sales reconciliation Control inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste through effective stock management Enforce food safety regulations and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health standards Assist with staffing schedules, interviewing potential team members, and conducting staff training & development Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to resolve issues promptly Support kitchen management tasks such as food production, catering coordination, and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas Ensure adherence to budget guidelines and operational policies while fostering a positive team environment Requirements Previous experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience required Leadership skills demonstrated through staff training & development, supervising teams, or management roles in hospitality or food service industries Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends; availability for part-time shifts is essential Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food management practices preferred Hospitality management background including hotel or catering experience is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling and restaurant operations This position offers an opportunity for growth within the hospitality industry for candidates passionate about food service management.
