Job Description

A warm and professional family in the Morristown area is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and engaging nanny to support two wonderful boys, ages 8 and 9, on a long-term basis. One of the children is on the autism spectrum and benefits from structure, patience, encouragement, and positive engagement. The younger child is highly active and participates in soccer, tennis, and other activities, so afternoon support will primarily focus on the older child for now. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and has experience in special needs care, ABA, behavioral support, nursing, education, therapy support, psychology, social work, or a related field.
Schedule:
Approximately 20-30 hours weekly.
Typical schedule includes:
Monday-Friday:
Approximately 3:00 PM
  • 8:00 PM Occasional late evenings/night support as needed Saturday shifts: Typically 9:00 AM
  • 7:00 PM, or a later start on days where evening or late-night support is needed Optional morning support on select weekdays (approximately 7:00 AM
  • 9:00 AM) is a plus The family is seeking someone interested in building a consistent and long-term schedule.
Responsibilities:
Assist with after-school, evening, and weekend routines Provide attentive supervision, companionship, and engagement Support structured activities, routines, and positive behaviors Encourage communication, independence, and social interaction Accompany children to activities or outings when needed Assist with snacks/meals and light child-related tidying Help keep children's bedrooms, play areas, and common kid spaces organized Assist with children's laundry approximately once weekly Create a safe, calm, nurturing, and organized environment
Ideal Candidate:
Experience with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, or special needs preferred ABA experience highly preferred Background in childcare, nursing, education, behavioral therapy, psychology, social work, or related fields strongly preferred Patient, reliable, proactive, and emotionally intelligent Energetic and able to keep up with active children Driver's license strongly preferred Candidates who drive are highly encouraged to apply. A family vehicle may be available for transporting the children, or mileage reimbursement can be provided when using a personal vehicle.
