Part Time Tasting Room Associate

Job Description A Gust of Sun Winery & Vineyard is seeking passionate and customer-focused part-time, seasonal Tasting Room Associates to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about wine, enjoy creating memorable experiences for guests, and understand the importance of responsible alcohol service . They take initiative, have strong communication skills, and contribute to a positive and fun atmosphere.

Employee discount on wine and merchandise Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment. Educate guests on A Gust of Sun's wine offerings, pairings, and the Niagara Wine Trail. Confidently guide guests through wine tastings and recommend pairings based on their preferences. Upsell wine flights, bottles, and wine club memberships to enhance customer experience and meet sales goals. Operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system , process transactions, and handle cash and credit card payments. Prepare and serve simple food items such as charcuterie boxes, flatbreads and snacks. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock levels in the tasting room. Assist with setup, service, and breakdown at on-site and off-site events . Promote the winery on social media and through word-of-mouth to friends and family. Work collaboratively with team members and maintain open communication. Qualifications Experience in wine sales, craft beverage service, or bartending preferred. Strong customer service and sales skills with a friendly, engaging personality. Enthusiasm for wine and a willingness to learn and educate others . Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Must be able to lift 40+ lbs and stand for extended periods. Availability to work weekends (limited weekday positions available). TIPS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
