Part-time Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Rep (Wednesdays and Saturdays required)

We are a busy, full-service veterinary hospital in Moorpark looking for a dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented Client Service Representative/Receptionist to join our team part-time. We pride ourselves on providing excellent care to both our patients and their owners. Our front desk team plays a huge role in creating a welcoming, supportive experience while helping keep the hospital running smoothly during very busy days. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and animals, communicates well under pressure, and can confidently multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule Requirements:

Wednesdays:

9:00 AM - 6:00

PM Saturdays:

8:00 AM - 1:00 PM Additional shifts may be available as needed.

Responsibilities include:

Answering multiple phone lines and assisting clients professionally and efficiently Scheduling appointments and helping manage daily workflow Greeting clients and checking patients in and out Differentiating between routine and emergency situations Processing payments, insurance claims, refill requests, and client communications Responding to emails and text messages promptly Communicating clearly with doctors, technicians, assistants, and clients Opening and closing the office independently when needed

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 1 year of veterinary hospital experience (Receptionist, Veterinary Assistant, or Veterinary Technician experience accepted) Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy shifts Comfortable handling multiple tasks at once while maintaining professionalism and accuracy Ability to manage high call volume and a fast-paced front desk environment Strong computer, phone, text, and email skills Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently when neededPhysical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 lbs with or without assistance Comfortable working around animal odors, noise, waste, and possible exposure to bites, scratches, and contagious illnesses We are looking for someone who is dependable, kind, adaptable, and truly enjoys being part of a collaborative veterinary team.
