Part Time Watercraft Helper

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Part-Time Watercraft Rental Assistant to help support guest rentals at a waterfront short-term rental property on Cedar Creek Reservoir . The property includes private backyard access to the water with docks for a pontoon boat and jet ski , which are rented to guests staying at the home. This role is ideal for someone local who is comfortable around boats and personal watercraft, communicates well with guests, and can help ensure each rental begins and ends smoothly. What You'll Do Meet guests at the property for scheduled boat or jet ski rentals Provide a clear walkthrough of the pontoon and/or jet ski before use Review basic operating instructions, safety rules, and docking procedures Help guests get the watercraft out and ready when needed Return at the end of the rental period to receive the watercraft Inspect the boat, jet ski, docks, and equipment for any damage, missing items, or safety concerns Take photos and report any issues to the owner promptly Confirm fuel level, cleanliness, and overall condition after each rental Help make sure life jackets and required equipment are present and organized What We're Looking For Experience operating or handling boats and/or jet skis Comfortable working around docks and on the water Dependable and punctual, especially for scheduled guest arrivals and returns Strong communication skills and a professional, guest-friendly attitude Good attention to detail when inspecting for damage or safety issues Ability to lift and move basic gear such as life jackets, ropes, and dock equipment Must have reliable transportation and live within a reasonable distance of Cedar Creek Reservoir Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with boat rentals, marinas, dock operations, or watersports Basic knowledge of boating safety and watercraft handling Ability to take clear photos and send updates by text Schedule Part-time / as needed Most shifts will be tied to guest check-ins, walkthroughs, and returns Weekend and holiday availability is a plus, as these are common rental times Pay Competitive hourly pay or per-visit pay, based on experience Work Location On-site at waterfront short-term rental property on Cedar Creek Reservoir Why This Role Is a Good Fit This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, knows their way around boats and jet skis, and wants flexible part-time work helping guests have a safe and smooth rental experience.
