Part-Time/On-Call Wine Educator
Miner Family Winery Oakville, CA Apply Job Description:
Miner Family Winery is a small, family-owned winery in the heart of Napa Valley. We're proud of our outstanding wines and the genuine, welcoming experience we offer our guests. We are currently seeking a Part-Time/On-Call Wine Educator to join our tight-knit team. The ideal candidate is someone who can bring a great attitude, kindness, professionalism and a solid work ethic every day. They enjoy connecting with people and making every guest feel like part of the family. This is a part-time position, with a strong emphasis on weekend availability and coverage for vacations and busy periods. Hours will vary based on business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • As a Wine Educator at Miner, you'll be an ambassador of our brand, our wines, and our values. In this role, you will:
  • Conduct informative and engaging wine tastings while sharing accurate information regarding Miner's winemaking practices, facility, and brand story.
  • Encourage wine club sign-ups in a genuine, compelling way that builds lasting relationships and supports sales goals.
  • Process sales accurately using our POS system.
  • Build, enhance and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals with a guest-first approach.
  • Support the team with daily tasks including restocking wine, cleaning tables and washing glassware.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability by completing all job duties in a timely manner.
  • Participate with opening and closing duties and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Provide warm and empathetic customer service in person, over the phone and over email.
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with the management team.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Weekend availability is required.
  • Flexibility to work on-call, including holidays and occasional evenings for events.
  • Organized self-starter with ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Wine industry/sales/hospitality experience preferred.
  • Detail and hospitality oriented.
  • Adaptable and able to assist a variety of personality types.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and maturity.
  • A genuine love for wine and hospitality.
