Summary We are seeking a dedicated Parts Specialist to join our team atCUSTOM FIRE APPARATUS, INC.
to manage, sell, and source equipment parts for customers. They provide customer service, look up parts using electronic catalogs, manage customer orders, receive shipments, and process returns or warranties. .Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales:
Primary customer contact for parts orders, answer phone calls, and provide expert advice to customers to assist with parts selection.Parts Lookup:
Use computerized inventory systems to accurately identify and source parts.Ordering:
Use Business System to enter sales orders and determine appropriate sourcing methods through existing stock or placing purchase orders.Inventory Management:
Suggest potential stock items based on usage and/or customer urgency.Shipping & Returns:
Process inventory returns, manage replacement orders, enter shipping information, and handle warranty claims.Part Department Operations:
Maintain a clean, organized department, and provide monthly reporting on department results/trends to identify poor suppliers/parts.Technical Assistance:
Occasionally perform tasks such as testing batteries, testing starters/alternators, or scanning vehicle codes.Required Skills and Qualifications Knowledge:
Strong understanding of parts, systems, and repair.Experience:
Previous experience in a parts department or automotive service role (2-3 years preferred).Communication:
Effective verbal and written skills for customer interactions.Technical Proficiency:
Ability to operate electronic cataloging systems and POS systems.Organization:
High attention to detail for tracking inventory and tracking orders.Physical Ability:
