Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry production and a keen eye for detail, particularly in cake decorating and presentation. This role requires creativity, precision, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Pastry Cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods while ensuring that all products meet our exceptional quality standards.

Duties Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to enhance presentation. Package finished products for sale or distribution, ensuring they meet quality standards. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including mixing ingredients and measuring portions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers regarding pastry selections and special requests. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety of all products. Skills Proven experience in pastry preparation and baking within a professional kitchen environment. Strong cake decorating skills with attention to detail in presentation. Knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Excellent knife skills for precise ingredient preparation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong customer service skills to enhance the guest experience. Previous experience in catering or restaurant settings is preferred but not required. A passion for the culinary arts and continuous learning within the food industry.
