Job Description
Description A healthcare facility is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support the Main Admitting department. This role is responsible for patient intake, insurance verification, and assisting with patient transports to various departments as needed. The ideal candidate will have direct hospital registration experience (admitting or emergency department) or experience working in a fast-paced environment. Skills + Patient Access + Patient Registration + Medical Terminology + Insurance Verification + Customer Service + Data Entry + Appointment Scheduling + Administrative Support + Epic (EHR) Top Skills + Patient Access + Patient Registration + Medical Terminology + Insurance Verification Additional Qualifications + Experience with Epic is highly preferred + Knowledge of insurance types including HMO, PPO, TriCare, Medi-Cal, and Medicaid + Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail Candidates should have prior hospital registration experience (admitting or emergency department) or demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced setting. Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
