Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Patient Care Coordinator, where your energy and dedication will directly enhance patient experiences and streamline clinic operations. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive compassionate support from their first appointment to follow-up care. Your proactive approach will help foster a welcoming environment, coordinate appointments efficiently, and facilitate clear communication between patients and medical staff. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures to ensure a smooth clinic flow Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using electronic medical record systems Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and update medical records accurately Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, appointment reminders, and follow-up instructions Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely delivery of patient care and manage patient flow throughout the day Assist with billing processes, insurance claims, and payment collections as needed Maintain a clean, organized reception area and ensure all administrative materials are up-to-date Requirements Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare providers and patients Proven ability to provide excellent medical administrative support in a busy office setting Office experience demonstrating proficiency with scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems Excellent communication skills—friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure Knowledge of dental office procedures is a plus but not required This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow within the healthcare industry.
